Standard Kasas are constructed of Polypropylene.  This plastic is slightly more prone to scratching so abrasive cleaners and scrubber should be avoided. Standard Kasas can be cleaned using any common household cleaner such as Windex, or any of the multi-purpose cleaners. Most pet owners prefer not to use these, however, as they do expose their pets to some potentially harmful ingredients. Note: a bleach dilution of 1:32 (1/2 c per gallon) is a fairly safe disinfectant/sterilizer for use in residences, as long as the bleach is kept in a secure location and fumes are avoided.
